What kid doesn’t love pizza? And all we’re going to do is roll it up so that it’s transportable into their little lunch box.
Easy Pizza Rolls Recipe
So the first thing we’re going to need are puff pastry sheets. Puff pastry sheets– if you have not discovered this yet in your freezer aisle, you have to grab a couple boxes. It is such a lifesaver. It’s so easy to make quick meals with this and even more elegant dishes for when you have friends and family over.
Now, I have these here thawed out. It’s very important that once their thawed, that you cook with it right away, not let it sit. Or else it’s going to puff up. And then really hard to cook with it. And you’re just going to get your favorite pizza toppings. Very simple. We have some store bought marinara. And just with the back of your spoon, spread it out all the way to the edges. And then, of course, we have mozzarella cheese. What is pizza without it? This is also good if you premake this, roll it up, and put it in your freezer. And that way when you’re stuck in a bind on a busy night or you’re doing sports, running around with the kids, all you have to do is take it out and stick it in your And you have dinner ready. So easy. We have a little bit of pepperoni here. Pepperoni in my fridge doesn’t last very long because the kids find it.
And by the time I actually want to make pizza, there’s no more pepperoni. So make sure you that you have a good hiding place. Like I do. I have learned to do. Hide it behind the spinach. Another idea for rolls, instead of your typical pizza, is doing a vegetarian style, using store bought spinach and artichoke dip. We have some Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle some down there. And we’re going to add some vegetables for you guys who have kids who are vegetarians.
That’s kind of odd. But I actually have one. I have a six-year-old who does not like to eat meat. So I have to give her meals and lunch box meals that don’t have any meat in it. And this is a really good one, a good recipe. And I’m going to add just a little bit more cheese on top. Kind of like glue when it melts. We’re going to roll it up. Take a little bit of the egg. And then we’re going to slice gently with your knife so it all stays intact. OK. And we take a cookie sheet and our cooking spray. And we’re going to place our roll-ups right here. And don’t worry if it’s not perfect because cooking is not supposed to be perfect. It’s just supposed to be delicious. And then we pop this in our oven. 375 degrees for about 20, 25 minutes. We’ll keep an eye on it until it’s golden brown. And we’ll take it out. Let it cool. And eat it. .
